Founded in 1968, Cinn City Choppers is the oldest custom motorcycle shop in Cincinnati. Owner/operator Chris Gavitt and his staff of factory trained Harley Technicians have over 80 years of combined experience.
Chris has been building bikes since he was 15 years old. He used to drag race for a number of years in the 80's, so he knows a thing or two about engine work and performance enhancements. As The Horse Magazine describes him, "He's not just an assembler, he's a die hard wrench who can field strip an engine blind folded," and "His first bike was a chopper...his current bikes are choppers. All his bikes in between were choppers."
Experience as a business man makes him the consummate professional, while his love for the open road gives him knowledge of how a bike should feel, and how it should ride. With his overhead low and his quality high, every bike he builds is a labor of love. This approach has earned Chris various awards including "Best of Show" at the Cavalcade of Customs in the Spring of 2000, while his no nonsense, tell-it-like-it-is attitude has earned him loyalty with his clients.
Chris, a Veteran himself, offers a 10% Veterans discount and supports ABATE, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the rights, improving the image, and promoting the safe operating practices of Ohio motorcyclists.
Present and future plans for Cinn City Choppers include expansion into the metric cruiser custom motorcycle market as well as expanding his business across the country through the Internet.
